6/4/08 Wednesday Morning
Last night all of the kids and grandkids were over for a little farewell, as were Kip's parents (Shelly's fiance's parents) and brother and the Hathaways. We had dinner and visited all evening. Judy took it easy and let the girls do the work, so she fared fairly well. She also slept
well again last night .

Sheri and family left this morning at 6:00AM. Judy got up to say goodbye. Microsoft, where Danny works, is beginning to ask some of its employees to work from home. So we are hoping that Sheri and family will soon be moving (from Seattle) to Utah as well.

John and family will be leaving this morning as well ... and our house will be empty again. They sure helped a lot. I was planning on watching a couple of Sheri's kids this last week, but as it turned out I spent most of my time with Judy going to, staying at or coming home from the hospital and the burden fell to John and Amy. Sharol and Stephanie also helped a lot with Sheri's kids, as she took a well deserved and long overdue vacation with her husband. How nice large families are when one needs a little extra help!

Judy, Jerry and family,
Thank you for taking the time to post all the updates to your blog. We were out of town for four days this past week (on and off) and were able to get caught up as soon as we were home long enough to turn on the computer. We will have our Alabama family with us for about a week. Samuel is being baptised in the Fresno temple on June 14th and then they will head north for our family "Round-Up" on June 21st. They will head back south on June 24th to go camping for two days with the Fresno family before heading back to Alabama. Steve and Kirsten are expecting their second baby on or about July 2nd - although Kirsten is convinced this one is coming early (wishful thinking?). After we lost Mattie the good Lord sent us a surprise. A calico cat gave birth to her two kittens in our woodpile. Some more little critters to watch over for a while... Hope you manage to get some rest during "quiet times" so can re-charge those batteries. You are in out thoughts and prayers daily. Gerry and Karl
